Hello everyone. I'm back again today to share some photographs of my latest projects for Blue Fern Studios.
For my first project I decided on altering a wooden paint palette in a romantic shabby chic style to compliment the stunning patterned papers from Blue Fern Studios Montage collection and some gorgeous chipboard pieces.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner I decided to keep with this theme and I've painted up one of the adorable cherub pieces from BFS Valentine Cupids Set, adding detail using a combination of paint, water soluble crayon, pencils and markers. I just love how this sweet little character turned out!
For my title piece I've chosen the word "love" from the Adore, Love, Cherish pack painting it with watered down acrylic paint and adding some fine doodled love with a simple black Sharpie.
Here's a shot of the dimension in this piece. The papers are just breathtaking.

Hi guys! My gosh, it's February already - January really just seemed to fly so fast this year and here we are already introducing the new sketch for Blue Fern Studios! There are so many amazing entries for January and one lucky entry will win a fab Blue Fern Studios bundle of chipboard! And, we are doing it all again for February.
My version of the sketch challenge this month uses patterned papers from Blue Fern Studios Montage collection - I love working with this collection - and some beautiful chipboard shapes as well.
I've painted my Jasmine Collage piece with watercolours to coordinate with my patterned papers, adding some doodled detail with a fine black Sharpie.
The small heart shape taken from the Chunky Heart Panel and again, I have added watercolour to create some beautiful colour and texture. My "love" title from the "Adore, Love, Cherish" set is the perfect finishing touch. To this piece I've used some dimensional pearl paint which looks AMAZING!
Here is a final look at some of the detail. I've done a lot of fussy cutting into the patterned papers, layering them together with dimensional tape for a fun finish and I have to say I'm really happy with how this layout has turned out.
